2009-01-16

In order to get a "bull" drive in the beginning of 2009, NCM Changshu division held a series of sports activities in about 20 days under the theme of "Work Hard & Pull Through." January 1, 2009, President Pan Minqi, Vice-president Li Ming and the supplier representatives held an opening ceremony for the new fencing hall at the premises of Changshu division of NCM. After the ceremony, the company leaders joined local employees for a party, which turned out a perfect final touch to the Sports Month.
The sports activities consist of the games of badminton, tennis, squash, ping pong and tug-of-war. All the games were held at noon breaks with all the "athletes" being the employees of the local division. The games were full of excitement and thrills, adding great colors to the cold days. During the month, local division also selected and honored their star employees "Obedient Senior Employees" and "Hard-working Young Employees."
January 9, 2009, Mr. Pan, Mr. Ma and Mr. Li and the supplier representatives unveiled the fencing hall. At the ceremony, Chen Yang, associate leader of the fencing team treated visitors with the knowledge about the fencing history and rules. He also simulated a fencing game with Wu Hao, one of their fencers, for the visitors. Mr. Pan expressed his wishes that all the employees should try their best to be "quick, accurate and firm," and do a good job which are originally required to make a good fencer.
After the ceremony, a wonderful party was held. Mr. Pan, Mr. Ma and Mr. Li gave their speeches at the party. According to their speeches, HCM employees should hold together to pull through amid the global financial tsunami and downturn market. The audiences seemed to be greatly encouraged and the mood of confidence permeated the whole room. Then, the leaders handed the awards out to the winners of the games, star employees of the local division. Finally, local employees and visitors put up interesting performances, such as comic dialogues, Shuanghuang (a kind of China-born two-man comic show, performed by two men, a derivation of comic dialogue), playgames, and chorus. The performances were well applauded by the excited audiences.
The Sports Month has come to a successful end. It is the first success in the New Year. We wish the workmates extended their warmth and dynamos into the whole year and have more achievements.
