NCM attended the Fifth Soong Ching Ling Scholarship Award Ceremony

The Fifth Soong Ching Ling Scholarship Award Ceremony was grandly held in Shunde No.1 High School. This Award Ceremony was hosted by Guangdong Soong Ching Ling Foundation and Guangdong Province Education Bureau. It was sponsored by Guangzhou Hersbit Chemical Co., Ltd., Guangdong Holdings Limited, and Guangzhou Julius Baer Construction Co., Ltd. NCM President Mr. Pan Minqi and other 2 representatives were invited to attend this award ceremony. Many government leaders also attend the Award Ceremony, such as Deputy Director of Foreign Affairs Committee of the 11th National People`s Congress (NPC), Original Director of Guangdong Province NPC, and Chairman of Guangdong Soong Ching Ling Foundation Mr. Luo Zhonghe; Provincial Party Committee member and Director of Provincial United Front Work Mr. Lin Xiong; Deputy Governor of Guangdong Province; Director of Guangdong Province Education Bureau Mr. Luo Weiqi, Vice Chairman of Guangdong Soong Qing Ling Foundation, Foshan Municipal Party Secretary Mr. Li Yiwei, Deputy Mayor of Foshan City Ms. Mai Jiehua, Provincial Director of Soong Ching Ling Foundation, Deputy Director of Guangdong Province Education Bureau Mr. Li Xueming, Vice-chairman of Foshan CPPCC and Director of Municipal United Front Work Mr. Ma Liangzhao, Foshan Assistant Mayor and Director of Foshan Education Bureau Ms. Li Yaguan, and etc. NCM has been providing financial support to Guangdong Soong Ching Ling Foundation for 5 successive years. Our donation is specially used for scholarship awards. On the award ceremony, Chairman of Guangdong Soong Ching Ling Foundation Mr. Luo Zhonghe presented the certification to Mr. Pan. Mr. Luo expressed his gratitude toward Mr. Pan for his enthusiasm in charity affairs and public welfare. Mr. Pan was invited to present certification for the winning students. Guangdong Soong Ching Ling Foundation was set up in 2009. The Foundation holds award ceremony every year. The award is for all senior middle school students of Guangdong Province. The winning students are selected by Guangdong Province Education Bureau in an “open, just, fair and free” process. The Committee selects one student out of 1000 grade two students of senior middle schools in Guangdong. Each winner can receive RMB3000 from the Foundation, and usually each school has less than 2 winners every year. All winning students are doing quite well in schools in an all-around way. The award is designed to motivate students to love the motherland, work harder, and fully develop themselves. The award also helps students to form the consciousness to repay the society and the country. Moreover, the award calls for people from all walks of life to support the cause of education. The first Soong Ching Ling Foundation presented scholarship to 591 students, the second foundation to 628 students, the third foundation to 692 students, and the forth foundation to 730 students. On the fifth Foundation, there are 759 students who received scholarship, and 25 of them are from Foshan.
