Guangdong Green Shoots Rural Women Development Foundation, the first professional public welfare foundation focusing on rural woman’s development, held its first session in Sun Yat-sen University on Mar. 6, 2013. The advisory team consists of Nobel Peace Prize winner Yunus, prominent economist Mr. Mao Yushi, and so on. The directors of the council, business people, rural woman representatives, more than 20 media representatives, and nearly 300 welfare activists attended the meeting.
Chairman of Green Short Foundation & Director of NCM Group Ms. Cai Wenfang, Vice President of Women`s Federation of Guangdong Ms. Yang Jianzhen, the Executive Dean of South China Charity Institute of Sun Yat-sen University, the founder of the Foundation, the founder of Rural Woman Culture Development Center Ms. Xie Lihua, and rural woman representative Ms. Lin Xue made their speeches one by one. The participants discussed the future directions, the major projects which are going to be initiated and implemented, the sustainable public welfare modes, the life style that public welfare comes to people’s everyday life.
As an active advocator of public welfare, NCM is dedicated to sponsor Green Shoots Rural Woman Foundation. Apart from providing financial support, NCM appoints Vice President Ms. Jian as the executive director of the first council. Ms. Jian is mainly in charge of supporting and coordinating the Green shorts Foundation. NCM Vice President Ms. Cai is appointed as the honorary executive. NCM trading director Mr. Ye Jianghai and Guangzhou Administrative Manger Ms. Pan also attend the grand meeting. They provide services at the meeting, and they become the first group of volunteers of Green Shoots Foundation. |
