NCM being invited to the 3rd Soong Ching Ling Scholarship Presentation Ceremony

The 3rd Guangdong Soong Ching Ling Scholarship Presentation Ceremony was held in the auditorium of No.1 Middle School of Shunde District of Foshan on Oct 14th, 2011. The Ceremony was hosted by Guangdong Soong Ching Ling Foundation and Guangdong Provincial Department of Education. It was undertaken by Department of Education of Shunde District of Foshan, and No. 1 Middle School of Shunde District of Foshan. The Ceremony was sponsored by following companies: NCM Guangzhou Company, China Mobile Group, Guangzhou Baosheng Construction Co, Ltd, and Perfect (China) Co, Ltd. NCM President Mr. Pan Minqi, Strategic Development Director Ms. Li Mengshi and President Secretary Mr. Xie Jianhui attended this ceremony. Some distinguished guests also attended the ceremony, such as Deputy Director of the NPC Foreign Affairs Committee & President of Guangdong Soong Ching Ling Foundation Mr. Lu Zhonghe, Provincial Committee & Director of United Front Work Department Mr. Zhou Zhenhong, Deputy Director of Provincial United Front Work Department Mr. Zhao Jian, Deputy Director of the Provincial Education Department Mr. Li Xueming, Deputy Director of Guangdong SASAC Mr. Qi Guoqiang, Vice President of Guangdong Business Association Mr. Lu Xiaozhou, and so on. This is the 3rd time that NCM takes part in the donation for the Guangdong Soong Qing Ling scholarship presentation. At the ceremony, Mr. Lu zhonghe awarded the medal and gave special thanks to Mr. Pan for his kind support to charities and public welfare. Mr. Pan was invited to award the certificates to the winning students. The preparatory stage of Guangdong Soong Ching Ling Foundation began from the end of 2006, and the foundation was officially set up on Feb 8th, 2007. It is aiming to connect oversea friendly communities and warmhearted persons, support and participate in culture exchange, strengthen international friendship, and maintain world peace; support and participate in the exchange between Taiwan and Mainland, against breakup and for unification, work for the peaceful unification of the PRC; support and participate in science, technology, and welfare projects for teen-age youths, help the sound development of teen-age youths, support and participate in education and help-the-poor activities of teen-age youths. Guangdong Soong Ching Ling Foundation is one of the non-profit charities approved by the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial Commission Office and the Provincial Civil Affairs Administration. Guangdong Soong Qing Ling Scholarship Voting has been lasted for 3 years. The students winning scholarships can solve the difficulties of expensive tuition fees and high living expenses, so that they receive great encouragement and help. Particular for students for poor family, the scholarship is more meaningful because it can reduce the heavy burden for the family. Some of the students who won scholarship at the 1st and 2nd Soong Qing Ling Scholarship Presentation Ceremony have be admitted by Qinghua University, Beijing University, Hongkong University, and other famous universities. At this 3rd Scholarship Presentation Ceremony, there are totally 692 Guangdong students who receive scholarships; all of them are from Grade Two, Senior High Schools.
