On Sept. 28th 2010, NCM held a dinner party in Guangzhou Luhu Golf and Country Club with the theme of “enjoying the beauty of the mountain, showing status of swordsmen”. Senior managers from chemical industry gathered in the feast pursuing chivalry.
Attended this dinner party were Akzo Noble global Chief Procurement Officer Alain Mimeault, IMERYS General Manager Asia Pacific Tim Chen??LG Chem Minister Zheng Hao, Changchun Group Assistant Manager Cai Shihong and Minister Lai Yijiang, and other senior managers from EVONIK??DOW Corning, DSM Syntech, HUNTSMAN. They witnessed the development and innovation of NCM in its chemical distribution model. ??
As the main theme of the party, fencing was introduced to the guests. Through long Cultural Corridor, equipment and photos display, demonstration and explanation by professional fencer, the guests were deeply impressed by the game. Meanwhile, the foundation and growing of NCM Fencing Team and fencing hall was shown to the guests in the form of PPT before the party, which fully embodied President Pan Minqi’s excite love, and interest to this old yet grand game. The theme of the party also represented NCM’s pursuing the spirit of swordsmen.
With the movie clips of Zorro from 1920 to 2005, the guests recalled their good memories. The party started with the song named I want to spend my lifetime loving you, which added a piece of romance to the beautiful night. And it reached a climax with a powerful performance of two fencers. IMERYS Sales Manager for Great China Region actively participated in the game and was instructed by the champion fencer Deng Xiaohao. After a passionate flamenco dancing, NCM Marketing Director Ms. Liu Keying delivered a welcome speech for the dinner party. In her speech, she shared with the guests the history of NCM and great success NCM has achieved. With the guidance of supervisors, NCM employees believed in what Nobel economist Milton Friedman had said: There is only one social responsibility of an enterprise-- to use its resources and engage in activities designed to increase its profits without deception and fraud. NCM was working hard to be the biggest chemical distribution.
After the toast, the guests enjoyed the delicious food and communicated with each other. At the end of the party, a violin concerto was performed by Ms. Luo Jiawen who was a new staff of NCM, which won a salvo of applause. And the lucky drawing reached another climax. The prizes named after the eight virtues of swordsmen spirit brought surprise for the winners. LG, Masson Group, Changchun Group, Dabao, Wuhan Linuo and other companies received the prizes of the swords, representing courtesy, dedication, bravery, fairness, honest, belief, justice, honor which were also the pursuit of NCM.
