The Sixth Soong Ching Ling Scholarship Awarding Ceremony of Guangdong Province, co-organized by Guang Dong Soong Ching Ling Foundation and the Education Bureau of Guangdong Province, was held in Guangdong Science Center on the afternoon of Nov. 14, 2014. There were 46 student representatives of Guangdong Province attending the awarding ceremony this year. Member of the Standing Committee and Director of United Front Work Department of Guangdong Province Lin Xiong, Vice Governor of Guangdong Province Chen Yunxian, Director of the Education Bureau of Guangdong Province Luo Weiqi attended the awarding ceremony, graciously received the student representatives, and presented prizes to them.
On the Scholarship Awarding Ceremony, Guang Dong Soong Ching Ling Foundation presented a metal plaque to Guangzhou Hersbit Chemical Materials Co., Ltd. to express their thanks to Mr. Pan’s support for charities and public welfare affairs. NCM staff Mr. Xie Jianhui accepted the metal plaque on behalf of Mr. Pan.
There were totally 739 students from Senior Grade II in Guangdong Province who won the scholarship this year. Since 2009, there were 4139 excellent students who have been benefited from this scholarship programme. |
