The Technical Seminar on Composite Materials for China Engineering Plastics hosted by Processing and Application Branch of China Synthetic Resin Association in Yingchuan, Ningxia on Aug 5 to 7, 2014. More than 160 representatives from CSR Corporation, Yuntianhua Group, PPG, Hersbit Chemical, Baling Petrochemical Corp, Shenma Group, Kingfa Group, Albemarle, Liaoyang petrochemical, Tsinghua University, Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Zhengzhou University, SRICI, and other organization of plastic industry attended this seminar.
Mr. Qiu Liren, the Deputy Director of Norinco Group China North Material Science and Engineering Technology Group Corporation, delivered an opening speech on behalf of Processing and Application Branch of China Synthetic Resin Association. Mr. Zheng Kai, the General Secretary of China Synthetic Resin Association, personally attended this seminar and delivered a report on the market trends of plastic industry. Besides, some representatives from enterprises, universities, and research institutes also published relevant papers. Participants of this seminar paid great attentions to those papers whose themes were on the development and application of high-end engineering plastics (such as nylon materials, environmental protection materials, nano materials, and etc.). Many enterprises, institutions, and universities on this seminar started to concern and research on the recycle, processing and reuse technology of waste plastics. They published relevant research results and practical technology applications, especially a cohesive solution for the reusable application of waste PET.
The Administrative Committee of Ningxia Ningdong Energy Chemical Base invited seminar participants to visit Ningdong Energy Chemical Base. Participants formed deep impression on coal-to-olefin projects and coal-to-methanol project of Shenhua Group, Sinopec coal-to-chemicals project, coal-to-chemicals project of Pagoda group. Many representatives actively sought for business opportunities after this visit. They hope they can have the opportunities to cooperate with Ningdong Energy Chemical Base.
