Summer social practice delegation from Chemistry and Chemical Engineering School of Nanjing University visited NCM Changshu Fangbang Industrial Park on July 15, 2014. The delegation consisted of more than 20 students and teachers.
In NCM Fangbang Industrial Park, Ms. Miao Lijin, Director of Each China Region of Engineering Plastic and Derivatives Department, guided the delegation to visit Tehe Plant, modern logistic warehouse, comprehensive office building with multi-functions. Later, the delegation visited NCM Changshu headquarter nearby the Yushan Mountain. They visited Technical Center, Display Center, Fencing Hall, Indoor Golf, Library, Tea House, and other entertainment facilities. Students formed a deep impression that NCM focused on employee care, and was dedicated to provide a safe and comfortable working environment for all employees.
NCM arranged a symposium for the delegation. NCM Senior Vice President Mr. Ma Guozhen, Vice President Mr. Mao Bo, Director of Each China Region of Engineering Plastic and Derivatives Department Ms. Miao Lijin, Director of Each China Region of Fine Chemicals Department Mr. Chen Zhigang, and the delegation from Nanjing University attended the symposium. At the beginning of the symposium, Mr. Ma delivered a heartfelt speech which closed the distance between two parties. As an alumnus from Nanjing University, Mr. Ma shared his study, work and pioneering experience. He fully confirmed the importance of summer social practice. He explained his life attitude of "persistence" with his valuable experience, and encouraged students to keep persistence neither on terms of study or life as so to reach the ultimate goal. Mr. Ma`s inspiring speech won him a great round of applause from students. Subsequently, Ms. Miao introduced NCM development history, business scope, company concept, and company culture. Moreover, Ms. Miao introduced NCM staff training and activities. At the end of the symposium, NCM leaders answered different questions from students about job search stage, newly hired stage, and personal plans of career development. In a warm atmosphere, the friendly symposium ended successfully.
After the symposium, HR department organized a mock interview. There were two stages for a mock interview, one was resume screening, and the other was group interview. At the resume screening stage, HR Manager Mr. Tang Rui introduced the skills how to write a resume well. At the group interview stage, students with good performance won the internship opportunities in NCM. The interns would spend 2 weeks in Tehe Plant, Fangbang Warehouse, and different Business Departments respectively. They would combine the theories they had learnt in school with the reality, and form better understanding toward chemical distribution industry and NCM. The practice to offer intern opportunities is a further step to strengthen cooperation between enterprise and university. It will reach a win-win situation between students and enterprise. To students, intern opportunities offer good ways to enhance their practice abilities and cultivate professional quality. To NCM, intern opportunities help to learn better toward each other, promote our enterprise brand image and recognition, and lay a good foundation for talent recruitment in future.
NCM has been concerning about Chinese talent cultivation and education cause. The summer practice delegation from Chemistry and Chemical Engineering School of Nanjing University indicates Nanjing University and NCM are taping their respective advantages and cultivating talents for the society together. We sincerely hope that Nanjing University and NCM can constantly strengthen the cooperation, boldly explore new ways to cultivate more high-qualified talents for China Chemical industry. |
